WROA LANS Chapter Speaker Meeting

  • 25 Oct 2016
  • 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Scuttlebutt Restaurant & Brewery - 1205 Craftsman Way #101, Everett, WA 98201

Tuesday, October 25th at 6pm

Topic: Insurance Coverage on Older Buildings - Assignment of Existing Policies, and Potential Insurance Coverage for Hidden Damage.

Many older apartment buildings in the greater Seattle area were built from the late seventies to the late nineties. Not surprisingly many of these older buildings are in need of extensive repairs to their exterior walls. This speaker meeting would make attendees aware of how older insurance policies may help cover the cost of repair in certain circumstances when water intrusion is involved; will include a case study of a 48 year-old apartment building owned by a local Seattle family, the insurance claim process, and their recovery; why owners should keep all of their insurance policies; and why new owners of an apartment building should ask for an assignment of existing policies from the seller at time of purchase.

Meeting Location: Scuttlebutt Brewing - Restaurant and Pub

Address: 1205 Craftsman Way #101, Everett, WA 98201
